LOCK HAVEN -- Dogwood Circle Garden Club will present a program by Master Gardener Dr. Deb Burrows entitled "Environmental Stewardship Begins at Home" on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 6:30 p.m., at the Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven.
Concern about the effects of climate change and other environmental issues has grown in the past few years. Quite a few land and homeowners have begun to wonder what they can do. Although the very complex problems require action at different levels, there are certain things people can do.
Burrows will explain 10 activities gardeners can do to make a difference in their own backyard. The public is welcome to attend this free presentation.
Dogwood Circle plants and maintains the city gardens at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and the triangle on Main Street in Lock Haven.
