Trail Races

Western Clinton County Sportsman's Club, 161 Sportsman's Lane, North Bend, will offer "The View" 15K and 25K trail races on Nov. 5 beginning at 9 a.m. The 25K trail race gives runners a chance to take on parts of the infamous Hyner Challenge course, but in the fall of the year. The 15K course is for runners not quite ready for the 25K but still interested in climbing to The View and hammering down Huff Run. Hosted by PA Trail Dogs. More info at patraildogs.com

Election night watch party

The Centre County Democratic Party is holding an Election Night Watch Party. It will be held at 3 Dots (137 E Beaver Ave, State College). It's close to the Pugh Street Garage, so it has easy parking. It will start on Tuesday, Nov. 7, around 8 p.m. and will end around midnight. Light snacks and nonalcoholic beverages will be served. The party estimates that some races may be able to be called by 11 p.m. Some of the candidates attending the event may be available for interviews in this timeframe. St. Paul's

food pantry

The St. Paul's Food Bank will have a distribution on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 9 – 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive in Mill Hall. The distribution will include items for Thanksgiving day dinner such as turkey, fresh produce, potatoes, ingredients for pumpkin pie and more. Don't forget to return your boxes! It is much appreciated. The food pantry serves the Mill Hall/Lamar area to the Centre County line.
