Commonwealth Court candidate comes to Restless Oaks

MCELHATTAN -- Megan Martin, a candidate for PA Commonwealth Court, returned to Clinton County last Friday to meet and greet Republican supporters and voters at the Restless Oaks Restaurant.

A graduate of Widener University School of Law, J.D., Martin has more than 30 years of proven legal experience. She has served in all three branches of state government and as a civilian attorney for the United States Navy.

The first woman to serve as the Pennsylvania State Senate's Secretary-Parliamentarian, Martin for more than a decade ensured that the constitution, laws and rules of the Senate were followed in the legislative process.

Martin noted that she is the kind of fair and impartial judge people in Pennsylvania need and want. She shares our Republican values of faith, family, hard work and reverence for our Constitution.

If elected, she said she will apply the law as it is written by the General Assembly, will hold the government accountable and will protect constitutional rights and freedoms for Pennsylvania's citizens.

"I have dedicated my legal career to public service. I love being part of something that is so much bigger than myself and providing meaningful legal service that impacts millions of people all across our great commonwealth. I believe that public service is a calling, and have been called to serve and will act in the public's interest," said Martin.

Martin is endorsed by the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, Pennsylvania Sheriff's Association, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, Firearms Owners Against Crime, Commonwealth Partners Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.

She is recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association who cited her "substantial administrative law experience" and is highly regarded across the Commonwealth and the nation for her expertise in government and process.

She resides in Cumberland County with her husband and three children. She is a National Rifle Association Member and Concealed-Carry Permit Holder.
