Keystone Central Foundation hosts online Holiday Experience Auction until Dec. 8

MILL HALL -- The Keystone Central Foundation is continuing to fundraise in its effort to support students in the Keystone Central School District.
KCF supports the students by funding projects beyond the classroom. This year KCF has funded a record amount of mini-grants in grades K-12 and to keep the momentum going in 2024, this first holiday experience auction will run now through Dec. 8 at 8 p.m.. The 5 packages available for bids include:
-- A private 6-course dinner party for 8 with Louis Anastos and jazz harpist Jaime Castillo at Stella A's.
-- Central PA Brewery, Wine & Distillery Tour for 6 with transportation provided by Susquehanna Transit, brunch boxes from Pearl's Cafe, tasting reservations at Mount Nittany Winery, tour and tasting at Big Spring Spirits and a $100 gift card to Floating Feathers.
-- Half-Day Guided Bass Fishing Experience with George Daniel with an Overnight Stay by Lumberjack Lifestyles and gift certificates for meals.
-- Area Golf Foursomes at Belles Springs, Mountain View Golf Course & Clinton Country Club with Overnight Stay provided by 3G Airbnb.
-- LHU Winter Sports Package with season passes, special LHU Wrestling Meet n'Greet and President's Box Seats for an LHU Basketball doubleheader.
This is an opportunity for the community and even those alumni or families from out of town to bid on concierge-type packages that highlight local businesses and attractions. They are especially great for holiday gift-giving or even pulling in friends to bid together.
Each auction is designed to feel like a truly special occasion for the winner. The Committee took care of all the details to make it as easy as it is memorable. A gift presentation box ready for wrapping can also be provided to the winning bidder.
"We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our local alumni, business owners and individuals," commented Melissa Bottorf from KCF. "For instance, we talked about a 4-course dinner with Stella A's and Louis bumped it up to 6 courses for 8 people."
"George Daniel is fully booked for his fly fishing tours until Spring of 2025, but he has opened a day for the winner of this package," Bottorf continued. "We are truly grateful to everyone who sees the value in fundraising to provide extra experiences to our students across the district."
Bidding is simple. Individuals can either follow Keystone Central Foundation on Facebook or go to the website at www.kcfoundation.com for a link to bid. Sort by all comments to see the highest bid. Winners will be notified on Dec. 8 and will have 48 hours to plan for payment by cash, check or credit card.
