LIONS NEWS
Howard Area Lions will have their dinner meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 6:30 p.m., at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Jacksonville.
Howard Area Lions Food Bank will be open on Jan. 8 for Centre County residents that live in the Lions servicing area. The food bank is open from noon until 3 p.m. at the former Beech Creek Elementary.
Please remember to bring your sturdy boxes back each month. The Lions are having trouble finding enough sturdy boxes, so if you have any larger boxes that will work for food distribution please bring them along so there will be enough boxes to fill for food bank recipients each month. The small produce boxes will not work for the food bank since larger boxes are needed.
The Milesburg Lions Club will be hosting a special New Year's Eve Bingo at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m. A pork and sauerkraut meal will be held for the Bingo supporters. Bring a dessert to share while starting the New Year off with Bingo. A $1,000 jackpot is up for grabs!

The items can be purchased outside the post office on Saturday mornings from 9-11 a.m. during the month of December or by calling Debbie at 814-625-0054.
