LOGANTON -- 'Tis the season for mirth and merriment! Join members of the Sugar Valley Historical Society at Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Bull Run School at 1756 Bull Run Road, Loganton, on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m., as they partake in symbolic simplistic decorations -- a pine tree denoting longevity, wisdom and good times; pinecones representing warmth; symbolic candy canes; and wreaths with their circular shape representing eternity, they have no beginning and no end.
Holiday music will surround the one-room school with Christmas carol sing-a-longs. Hospitality refreshments, hot chocolate, coffee and homemade cookies, will be offered.
Folks will tell traditional stories and share memories from decades past.
Last, but not least, Mrs. Claus will take time out of her busy schedule to visit.
This festive celebration is hosted by the Sugar Valley Historical Society and is free and open to the public of all ages.
