LOCK HAVEN -- The coordinators of the Pennsylvania Happy Travelers are excited to announce that a few seats have become available on their trip to New Orleans on March 2-10, 2024.
Seats may also be available to Vermont on June 17-21, 2024, depending on interest. Parties interested in the trip to New Orleans should contact Rita Ruhl at 570-748-4226 as soon as possible to make reservations as the deadline is fast approaching. Reservations for the Vermont trip must be made by early April 2024.
The New Orleans trip includes a guided tour of the city including a visit to the French Market District; admission to the World War II Museum and the Destrehan Plantation; a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River, free time to roam the French Quarter and admission to Mardi Gras World and the MAX (Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience). The cost of this nine-day trip is $1,149 per person (double occupancy) and includes motor coach transportation, eight nights lodging, eight breakfasts and six dinners, plus admission fees.
The trip to Vermont includes a tour of an authentic Vermont Maple farm; a tour of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory; a dinner cruise on Lake Champlain with entertainment; admission to Shelburne Museum; a tour of the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry; and visits to Cold Hollow Cider Mill and Stowe Village. The cost of this trip is $760 per person (double occupancy) and includes four nights lodging, motor coach transportation, four breakfasts and four dinners, plus admission fees.

The next meeting of the Pennsylvania Happy Travelers will be held on Wed., Jan. 10, at 3 p.m., at the Lock Haven STEP Center (Senior Center), 124 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. This will be a perfect opportunity to meet other travelers and learn about the club and its upcoming trips.
