The Tween Sunday School class at Beech Creek Wesleyan Church has been busy putting together gifts for local veterans and widows/widowers. Three hundred and fifteen blankets were purchased by Leslie Scott, and were packaged by the Tween Sunday School Children. The blankets were packaged with two cards, one from Leslie Scott, a local woman who sends cards each month and one signed by the Tween Sunday School children, as well as a star from a retired American Flag for the veterans or a tree ornament for the widows and widowers. The gifts will be handed out by the local Veterans Affairs Office when they do their monthly food distribution.
