Covenant Cafe to meet Feb. 20

LOCK HAVEN -- The Covenant Cafe, an early stage Alzheimer's activity group, will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 1-3 p.m., weather permitting, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

Guest presenter, Barbara Hendricks will open the session with an exercise class using pool noodles. The class is mostly seated and concentrates on stretching, balance and movement in a fun and engaging way.

The group will celebrate Presidents' Day with patriotic songs led by Pam Blesh at the piano and a Presidential Trivia game led by Fran Decker. The session will also include a talk on Medicine Safety by David Bonomo from AmeriHealth and will end with refreshments.

The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer's Support Group and the Alzheimer's Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
