LOCK HAVEN -- The Covenant Cafe, an early stage Alzheimer's activity group, will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 1-3 p.m., weather permitting, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
Volunteer Kitty Oechler will lead a seasonal snowman craft followed by a tribute to Martin Luther King and a Black History Trivia game conducted by volunteer Fran Decker. The group will have a social time with refreshments and play a game of Noodle Ball to round out the session.
The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer's Support Group and the Alzheimer's Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible. Individuals and families who are interested in being involved in this free program which meets the first and third Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. are invited to call Fran Decker, MSW at 570-748-4302 or 570-263-2084 for more information.
