No One Fights Alone 5K
Ryan Hayslip, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, returned home after dedicating 8 1/2 years to his country including two tours in Iraq, struggled to find his footing and grappled with his mental health. Thanks to the unwavering support of my loved ones, the local Vet Center and Veterans Affairs, Ryan's been able to navigate these challenges and is driven to pay it forward and support fellow veterans and first responders in the community. No One Fights Alone is a 24-hour 5K walk on May 17 at 1 p.m. starting at Hepburn St. Riverwalk Parking Lot.
The mission of the event is to shine light on the reality that many veterans and first responders in our community struggle with mental health issues stemming from their occupations, and work to dispel the stigma surrounding these challenges. 100% of the donations go to local programs to help veterans and first responders.
