Leadership class learns about education and youth

LOCK HAVEN — Leadership Clinton County recently met at Central Mountain High School to hold a session focusing on Clinton County’s Education and Youth systems.
Participants started the day with welcoming comments from Superintendent Dr. Frank Redmon. They were given a tour of Central Mountain High School and the District’s Career & Technology Center by students Danica Kelly, Gavin Kersetter, Hunter Jeirles, Maggie Park, Caroline Owens and Brody Rhine. Participants then had the opportunity to eat lunch catered by the students in the Culinary Arts program. And finally, they participated in two panel discussions relating to the various issues facing our youth and the diverse educational systems in our community. Represented on the panels were Central Mountain High School and Middle School, Mill Hall Elementary School, Commonwealth University of PA-Lock Haven, CIU 10 Development Center for Adults, Infant Development and Skills of Central PA.

Leadership Clinton County is a comprehensive leadership development program for adults living and/or working in Clinton County. Organized by the Clinton County Economic Partnership, the Leadership program is now in its 24th year, with over 300 graduates. People interested in making a difference in their own community and developing their personal leadership potential are encouraged to apply to Leadership Clinton County.
