Haven Place holds Ho-Down for residents

By BREANNA HANLEY bhanley@lockhaven.com 1 min read

LOCK HAVEN -- The residents of Haven Place recently enjoyed a Western-style ho-down, with many of the residents wearing festive ho-down attire.

Activities included a cow pie toss and rope the horse where residents could test their accuracy -- "roping" a wooden horse with hula hoops and tossing plastic cow pies into a bucket.

Haven Place Activities Aid Donna Walizer spent all morning milking cactuses for cactus juice to quench residents' thirst after all that vigorous activity. Other refreshments such as cowpies (no-bake cookies), hay bales (rice crispy treats) and "corn on the cob" popcorn bags were among residents' favorite treats.

There was also a line dancing performance put on by a few of the Haven Place workers.

While the dancers performed, a few residents got grooving as well -- Forest Styers made all the residents laugh with his fancy footwork.

Along with Walizer, the following individuals came together to pull off this fantastic event, JayAnne Hall, Marie Barta, Celeste Swisher, Angelina Morrone and Kamryn Stover.

Starting at /week.
