Clinton County Conservation District seeks Associate Directors
The Clinton County Conservation District is actively seeking Associate Directors. Board Meetings are the third Thursday, every other month.
Associate Directors are individuals appointed to the Clinton County Conservation District Board as non-voting members. They are selected on the basis of their value in representing various natural resource areas, their expertise and resources they can bring to the Board, and their sincere interest and support in implementing the Clinton County Conservation District goals and objectives.
Privileges and
Responsibilities
— Associate Directors are appointed to a two-year term by the Board Chair from a nomination submitted as a motion by a Conservation District Director. This nomination must be accompanied by a letter of intent from the nominee stating their interest in serving as an Associate Director.
— Associate Directors will be contacted at the end of their term to determine if they are still willing and able to serve. The Board of Directors reserves the right to terminate an Associate Director at any time or to not renew their term.
— Associate Directors should attend at least six, or 50%, of Board meetings, participate in one District sponsored event or make a significant contribution to District goals during the year.
— Associate Directors are entitled to compensation for mileage for approved activities and outside meeting attendance at the same rate as Directors, with Board approval.
— Associate Directors are encouraged to serve on Conservation District committees and attend state and local meetings, especially those in conjunction with cooperating agencies or organizations.
