CCAC to hold opening reception Friday for 2D3D Regional Juried Exhibit

LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County Arts Council will hold an opening reception this Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for its newest show -- the annual 2D3D Regional Juried Exhibit.

The reception will be held at The Station Galley, 2 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven, and featurse a wide range of artists within 100 miles of the city.

"This exhibit had an open call for entries, with a 100 mile radius. We have 20 artists with varying media exhibiting in the gallery," Carol Cillo, CCAC past president, said.

Cillo said this includes mediums such as watercolor, photography, ceramics, oil and acrylic painting, scratchboard, mixed media and fiber arts.

"Our awards just this year will be Tom Svec, of Great Island Gallery," Cillo said. "Our sponsor, The Wealth Factory, graciously has donated over numerous years to support the visual arts in our area."

The following artists will be featured in the exhibit: Anni Matsick, Beka Charles, Bruce Wallace, Candace Smith, Carol Ann Cillo, Diane Wyant, Elody Gyekis, Jackie Thomas, Jeff Mathison, Jennifer Shuey, Lynn Kibbe, Nannette Hurley, Phil Hawk, Philip Huber, Rita Bower, Steve Bower, Susan Nicholas Gephart, Tom Mickle, Xiaohua Shen and Zelma Lang.

Cash awards will be announced at about 7 p.m. which include first, second, third and fourth places and a special Sponsor's Choice Award.

The exhibit and opening reception are open to the public.

"Don't miss this amazing showing of artworks from the region and enjoy the company of those who enjoy the inspiration of the arts," Cillo said.

The exhibit will remain at the gallery until Aug. 25.
