Grange Children’s Fair is Saturday in Centre Hall

CENTRE HALL — It is almost time for the 8th Annual Progress Grange Children’s Fair on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The fair is located at Progress Grange, 217 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall.

This event was created in 2017 as a way to bring the community together while giving the children a fun-filled family event.

100 percent of all profits go right back into the fair for next year. The event solicits family, friends, local businesses and organizations each year for donations and/or raffle prizes.

The fair will have 13 games with some that are 50 cents to play, a few that are $1 and a special game that is $2.

Organizers sell bags for $12 (which hold the prizes) that contain enough tickets to play each game once, but people are welcome to just buy separate tickets.

The fair also has quite a few basket raffles that people can buy chances for including bicycles, a wagon, movie tickets, local restaurant gift cards and Grange Fair tickets.

This year’s theme is “Christmas in July” so it will have a special guest appearance by the Grinch.

If you come to the Children’s Fair with some sort of Christmas attire, you will get a special ticket to enter to win a big prize.

The fair will also have several local celebrities including Centre County Sheriff Bryan Sampsel and the 2023-2024 Centre County Grange Fair Queen, Teaghan Bair, and members of her court.

Starting at $3.69/week.
