Downtown LH businesses to hold Sidewalk Sales Aug. 24
LOCK HAVEN — Summer might be slowing down but Downtown Lock Haven is not!
Downtown business owner, Fabre Sanders, started the tradition of Sidewalk Sales back up in 2022 and continues to lead the charge today.
Summer Sidewalk Sales will be going on downtown on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Participating businesses include Skeleton Key Boutique, It Is What It Is Sweet Shop, It Is What It Is, The Apothecary, Embellish Salon, Momoyo Otsu, Rachel K Creations, Shoop’s Charcuterie, Darling and Dapper, Main Street Books, Caramia’s ReLoved Fashion and Two Maidens.
“Main Street is a vital part of our community and to keep it alive and well we need to support local businesses. Amazon doesn’t need us, but our community does, and downtown businesses are part of that community,” DLH Manager Melissa Dally said. “Instead of getting that $25 gift from Amazon, shop locally and support small businesses. Everyone feels the burden of inflation, but we are still spending money, so let’s make sure we spend it where it counts. At the end of the day, looking at it economically, their success is our success.”
So gather your friends and family or enjoy an afternoon by yourself shopping Downtown Lock Haven’s Summer Sidewalk Sales this Saturday, Aug. 24.
There are also plenty of local dining options to keep you fueled throughout the day including Pearl’s Cafe, Leo’s, Main Street Grill, The Texas Lunch, Shoop’s Charcuterie and Stella A’s.
