TOPS in Mill Hall attend fall rally for north central Pa. region

MILL HALL -- Ten members from TOPS Chapter PA1466-Mill Hall attended the annual Fall Rally of the TOPS North Central Pennsylvania region on Sept. 28 at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte. The day consisted of games, inspirational presentations, recognitions for weight loss and weight maintenance and honoring chapter officers. The theme of the rally was "Back to Basics: School Days" and Mill Hall Chapter won the award for the best table centerpiece, which was designed and created by Suzi Gray.

Founded in 1948, TOPS Club Inc. (Take Off Pounds SensiblySM) is the only nonprofit, noncommercial weight-loss organization of its kind. TOPS offers an individual approach to weight loss and overall wellness, with thousands of chapters in the U.S. and Canada. Members learn about nutrition, portion control, meal planning, exercise and more at weekly meetings. Consistent group support, health education and recognition are all key components to successful weight management.

The Mill Hall Chapter meets every Monday evening with weigh-in beginning at 4:30 p.m. followed by a program and the meeting at 5 p.m. On Monday, Oct. 14, the chapter will host Nancy Hackenberg, owner of Be One Healthy Fitness Center in Mill Hall who will present a program on fitness and health. Mill Hall Chapter currently has eight members who have reached their weight loss goals to attain the coveted KOPS status (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly).
