Friday, March 28
— Beech Creek American Legion Post 623 invites all Vietnam Veterans to the post for Hot Sausages and Beverages from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is Post 623’s way of honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans who served during the Vietnam War.
— Friday Night Lenton Fish Fries at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, will be held each Friday during Lent, from March 28 through April 11, from 4-7 p.m. Eat in or Take Out; CASH ONLY. The cost is only $14 for adults; $7 for children under 12 and under 6 eat for free. Come experience Centre County’s largest Fish Fry, prepared and served by the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of the America’s.

— Bingo at Mill Hall Fire Hall every Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 29
— Mary Piper, 85, of Mill Hall, passed away Saturday, March 22. In her memory, Wendy’s in Lock Haven is offering 10 percent off their classic chicken sandwich and giving away free frosties today, March 29.
— Elizabeth Brady, has written a book, “Oil for Your Lantern: Sharing Light after the Death of a Child,” which details her grief journey after losing her son, Mack, just shy of his ninth birthday, and how her faith guided her. Elizabeth, who is an associate teaching professor at Penn State, will visit St. Mark Lutheran Church, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard, to talk about her experiences and her book. The event begins at 11 a.m. and will include a time for questions and answers. Brady will also be signing books.Books will be available to purchase at the event for $15, while supplies last.
— Clinton County Veterans Affairs and KBR Bingo and More invites Clinton County Vietnam Veterans and a guest to a luncheon served from 2-4 p.m. RSVP before March 18 to 570-893-4339.
— Ross Library Spring Book Sale, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
— Pleasant Gap Troop 66 spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Scouts to go to Philmont Ranch in New Mexico. Dinner is from 4-6 p.m. at the American Legion Post 867 in Pleasant Gap. $12 a meal. Eat in or take-outs available. Call 814-404-5432 for more info.
— Nittany Valley Amish Benefit Dinner will be held from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Walker Township fire station in Hublersburg. The actual (and GPS) address of the fire station is 125 Fire House Lane, Howard. The cost of the meals will be $22 for adults ages 18-64; $20 for Senior Citizens ages 65 and older; $20 for children ages 11-17; $9 for children ages 5-10; and those ages four and younger can eat for free. The meals are available for sit down dining where you get to choose your hour of dining between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. Walk-ins will also be served as seating allows. For less waiting, it’s recommended that you reserve your tickets in advance for one of the seven time slots available, (12-1 p.m., 1-2 p.m. … 5-6 p.m. and concluding with the 6-7 p.m. dinner hour.)

— Sugar Valley Fire Company’s Seafood Buffet, 3-6:30 p.m. All you can eat for $25 adults; $13 for children 6-12 and those 5 and younger can eat free. Eat in or take-out option. Two double buffet lines that will keep things moving smoothly.
— Dunnstown Cemetery Spring Clean-up will begin on Monday, March 31. Any decorations that you wish to keep from the grave sites should be removed before the clean-up. New decorations should not be put on until April 7.

— Remote Area Medical (RAM) – a leading nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality dental, vision and medical care to those in need. The two-day clinic is to be held at Bald Eagle Area Middle and High School, located at 751 S. Eagle Valley Road, Wingate, Pa.
Monday, March 31
— State Representative Paul Takac will hold five listening sessions to hear directly from the community on the impact of closing SCI Rockview and the Quehanna Boot Camp. Takac will host these forums to gain input from area residents on precisely how they will be impacted so he may better tell their stories to the Shapiro administration. Takac wants to hear directly from those who would be affected by a shutdown of one or both of these facilities. The third forum will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Benner Township Municipal Building, 1224 Buffalo Run Road, Bellefonte.
