Community Yard Sale

History book

The Wayne Township Recreational Committee is offering their book, “A Township Called Wayne,” for a price of $10. This book will make a nice gift for family and friends, especially historians and those with ties to the Wayne Township community. Lock Haven High School and Immaculate Conception High School Classes of 1955 will meet for lunch at noon on Wednesday, May 28, at Waltz’s in Salladasburg.

Cash Bingo Events

Mill Hall Vol. Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Friday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. Doors and the kitchen open at 5:30 p.m. The fire station and social room are located at 9 Peale Ave., Mill Hall. MHVFC Bingo dates are May 16, 23 and 30.

Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs. Bingo will be held on May 19 and May 26.

KBR Bingo and More holds Bingo every Tuesday night at the Piper Airport Museum’s 3rd floor, Lock Haven. Early Bird game at 6:15 p.m., and regular Bingo at 6:30 p.m. Call Mike Toner at 570-786-1343 for more info.

KBR Bingo has added a second Bingo night during the week. On Wednesday’s there will be straight Bingo, played only up, down and diagonally, at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Call Deb at 570-660-2647 for more info.

Grange Fair Ticket Pre-sale

Tickets will be on sale until May 23 for the Centre County Grange Fair by SVRCS Community Engagement Program. The cost is $20 for each pass. Season tickets purchased at the gate will be $25 each. Tickets will be available in the school office, 236 E. Main St., Loganton, during school hours; in the SVRCS Community Fitness Center Monday-Friday, 6-9 p.m. or contact djeffries@svrcs.org or 570-367-1351. Checks made payable to Centre County Grange Fair. Tickets will be delivered in June. $2 of every ticket will be donated back to the Sugar Valley Community Engagement Program to help bring additional events, workshops and programs to the community.

Would you like to become a Shoe Bank volunteer? The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank is usually open one Saturday a month, when we have the fun of giving free new shoes to eligible kids and teens.
