-- Bucktail High School's Art Club is busy painting a mural with acclaimed graffiti artist ARCY at Bucktail Medical Center. A ribbon cutting is planned today at 2 p.m., in the medical center Annex.
-- Spaghetti Supper, 5-7 p.m., at Wingate Faith Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte. Supper is a church fundraiser to support congregation members going down south in July to assist those impacted by the hurricanes. Tickets available by calling Janette at 814-883-0893. Dine in or take-out meals will be $12 for everyone over age 5.
-- Old School Market open every Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition to the many vendors, there will be a misc. Merchandise sale at 4 p.m., followed by a hay and small animals sale at 6 p.m. This week is the spring sheep and goat breeders auction.

-- Porter Township will be having a community yard sale.
-- Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren will hold a Take-out Only Turkey Supper on May 17 from 4-6 p.m., or until sold out. The meal will feature roasted turkey, filling, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls and homemade desserts. The cost will be a donation of your choosing. The proceeds will benefit Missions. To reserve take-out meals or for more info call Kim at 570-725-3767.
-- The Shoe Bank will be open today but will then close for June and July, as usual. The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank is inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St. The program gives free new shoes to wee ones through high school seniors whose families live anywhere in Clinton County or the Liberty-Curtin School attendance area. The family must have an active Compass app or a Compass paper. Those who don't have Compass may be referred by an agency or organization. Eligible children and teens can come and choose a pair of new shoes, new socks and books. Everything is free. Appointments are required. -- Spring Clean-up at Hyner Run State Park. Arrive at 9:30 a.m. to complete volunteer form and to prepare for the 10 a.m. start. Gloves and tools will be provided, or bring your own. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided for lunch. Registration due before May 12 by going to the DCNR Calendar of Events and filter to Hyner Run State Park for the May 17 event. Books are donated by community members, totaling 4,000 boxes (150,000 books), making this sale one of the largest in the country. The sale runs 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Books are individually priced and priced to sell, sorted into 30 different categories. Monday, May 19, is Half Price Day and Tuesday, May 20, is Bag Day ($10/bag). Parking is free and there is no admission cost to attend.
-- Everyone is welcome at the showgrounds East of Loganton where the Dusty Boots Riding Club will be having a Fun Show beginning at 5 p.m. Food will be available as well as multiple prize drawings. Bring the whole family. Admission is $2 for those 15 years and older, $1 for those 14 years and younger. Come to watch or to compete in some friendly, horse gaming competitions.

-- As part of their 175th Anniversary Celebration, the Gallagher Township Board of Supervisors will host a Heritage Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the former Springer-Caldwell One Room School and the Gallagher Township Municipal Building located at 11837 Coudersport Pike, Lock Haven. The program is free and open to the public.
