Liberty-Curtin Elementary School recently held a career day where representatives from various agencies attended to teach the students about their day-to-day activities, how they trained for their job, what schooling they needed for their job and how their school rules apply to their work. Careers included an operator and mechanic from PennDOT, a Criminal Investigation unit supervisor, a patrol trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police, representatives from a bird sanctuary, a health occupations teacher at KCSD CTC, a support coordinator for people with disabilities, a mechanical engineer and a controls engineer manager from First Quality, a General Education program with KCSD CTC, Amazon, The Express and a real estate agent with Fish Real Estate. There was also an Assistant Teaching Professor of Chemistry from Penn State Altoona who held an assembly in the afternoon.
