CROSS FORK — The 53rd Annual Cross Fork Snake Hunt is gearing up for another great year.

The event will be held on June 28 and 29 at the Kettle Creek Hose Company, 7 Firehouse Lane, Cross Fork, and is organized by the Keystone Reptile Club.

The event will include a chicken barbecue, other food and drink, live music, hands-on education opportunities for all ages, a wide range of vendors and raffles. Those who enter the raffles have a chance to win $5,000 or $10,000.

Anyone interested in taking part of the event as a vendor, or maybe tossing their hat into the ring for a horse shoe tournament may contact Nikki Werts at 570-923-0848.

All proceeds from the snake hunt will benefit the Kettle Creek Hose Company.

Note: To be eligible for the rattlesnake hunt in the state of Pennsylvania a current Venomous Snake Hunt Permit must be obtained from the PA Fish Commission. The permit must be applied for 30 days prior to the hunt. A valid Pennsylvania Fishing License is required. This is a catch and release event. All hunters must register at hunt headquarters for hunting.
