Memorial Ride

Join the Jersey Shore American Legion Riders for the annual Jeff Engel Memorial Ride on Aug. 9. The ride begins at the Millheim Legion and includes stops at the Centre Hall Legion and Howard VFW, ending at the Jersey Shore Legion. Registration is $15 and includes a meal. Proceeds support the Military Share program. Sign-in begins at 9 a.m., with the ride starting at noon.

Alzheimer’s Fundraiser

You’re invited to join the fight against Alzheimer’s during the annual “Jail and Bail” Fundraiser set for Aug. 6 at 22 Cree Drive in Lock Haven. Support the Alzheimer’s Foundation in a fun and impactful way by being a participant to help raise awareness and funds — whether you’re volunteering to be “locked up” or helping to pay bail, every bit makes a big difference. Brungard reunion postponed

The 2025 97th Brungard Family Reunion is being postponed due to conflicting schedules. Family members should save the date for the 2026 reunion which will be held on Aug. 9.

Concert invite

You’re invited to a gospel concert at Lairdsville Faith Church, 6786 Rt. 118 Highway, Lairdsville, on Friday evening, Aug. 1. Class of 1960

The reunion of the Lock Haven High School and Immaculate Conception High School Class of 1960 will be held Aug. 1-2. An informal get together at 7 p.m., at the home of Ron Bowes on Aug. 1. A buffet dinner at the Lock Haven Eagles will be on Aug. 2, starting with a social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. Classmates attending the dinner at the Eagles must register before July 15.
