LOCK HAVEN — Central Mountain High School student and junior firefighter Noah Gentzyel recently hosted a First Responder Showcase as part of his senior project. Held at Eastside Fire Rescue-Station 42, the event gave the community an up-close look at the world of emergency services.
Attendees had the opportunity to tour various fire apparatus and even a tour of the Goodwill Hose Ambulance Association-Medic 21 unit. Guests learned about the essential gear firefighters wear daily and many even took to the skies for a ride in the station’s impressive Tower Truck.
Noah, who has been a member of the Lock Haven Fire Department since 2021 — originally with the former Hope Hose Company, now known as Eastside Fire Rescue — is passionate about serving his community. He is set to begin his senior year at Central Mountain High School this fall and plans to pursue a degree in Natural Resource Management at Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg.
