Make America Kind Again’ movement to hold event at Avenue 209 Saturday

LOCK HAVEN — The national Grandmothers Unite MAKA Movement — to Make America Kind Again — is holding a Lock Haven informational gathering at Avenue 209 Coffee House, 209 Bellefonte Ave., on Saturday, July 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Guest presenter will be MAKA’s co-founder, Elaine Parke, recently named as a 2025 International Exceptional Woman of Peace by the United Nations NGO affiliate, Pathways to Peace. Elaine is also founder of All of Us, Inc., an international non-profit teaching good values and character since 1993.

Elaine says, “It’s time for a new hat in America because we each can become ‘beacons of kindness,’ just by wearing our MAKA hats and because our children are listening.”

As a grandmother, she became concerned about the degrading level of language and discourse that is growing in America and that it is harming our children.

The podcast, “MAKA — Make America Kind Again, with Grami Dodi & Nana Dee” can be found on YouTube at MAKA25Now or on Substack at 12habits4allofus.

As Nana Dee says, “You don’t have to be a grandmother — or even a woman — to join this movement. It’s all about common sense and addressing our issues with mutual respect to reduce harm for everyone.”

She adds, “That’s why we chose Our Lady of Liberty as the symbol for the MAKA Movement.”

Local organizer, Bradley Curtis, can be reached for further information at bradleycurtis1964@gmail.com.

Starting at $3.69/week.
