LOGANTON — Sugar Valley Rural Charter School’s Annual Back to School event is set for Saturday, Aug. 2 and Aug. 9, in the school’s gym lobby, 236 E. Main St., Loganton, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event offers a one-stop opportunity for your student to get a “new to them” outfit, a free haircut for students K-12 and a free backpack while supplies last.

Haircuts must be pre-registered with Dawn Jeffries by calling 570-367-1351 or by email at djeffries@svrcs.org. No walk-ins will be accepted.

This event is open to all students no matter what school they are enrolled in. Clothing will be $5 a bag.

SVRCS is looking for donations of clothing for this event. Donations must be clean and in nice condition — no rips, stains or holes. No intimate apparel please.

Drop offs can be made at the Community Fitness Center (to the left of the gym lobby) during open community hours — Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.) They are looking for clothing for students five years old through high school.

Donations of new backpacks and supplies are also welcome.
