Bob DeHaas earned his first Hole-in-One at Belles Springs Golf Course in Mill Hall on Aug. 8, 2025. DeHaas made the Hole-in-One shot on hole 14 using a driver while golfing with Mark Sinclair, Craig Heckman and John DeHaas. He played 231 yards. Congratulations Bob!
Hymn Sing
Dunnstown United Methodist Church invites everyone to a Hymn Sing on Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. at the church. The Twisted Racquet-Tears will be leading the sing-a-long and playing those old familiar tunes that everyone knows and loves that you can sing along to. The event is free and open to the public.

Classmates of Lock Haven High School's Class of 1952 are invited to a monthly luncheon on Aug. 20 at the Jersey Shore Diner Patio at noon. All classmates and their guests are invited.

Boxes of Hope
Join The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven for a packing party at Boxes of Hope, 10 E. Main St., Lock Haven, on Aug. 19 at 5:15 p.m. By helping to pack care packages that are sent to women who are battling breast cancer, you would be making a difference in someone's life. This is also a great opportunity to talk to members of The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven and learn about other ways that they serve the needs of the community. Light refreshments will be provided.
You can help local kids
The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank gives free new shoes to eligible kids and teens in Clinton County and the Liberty-Curtin School area. It's a simple idea -- good sneakers and shoes for kids who need them. The Shoe Bank relies on community support. If you would like to help, you are encouraged to donate one or more pairs of new shoes. You may drop them off at the store, A Little Bird, at 132 E. Main St., Lock Haven.
