Cash Bingo Events

Mill Hall Vol. Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Friday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. Doors and the kitchen open at 5:30 p.m. The fire station and social room are located at 9 Peale Ave., Mill Hall. MHVFC Bingo will be held on Aug. 22 and 29.

Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs. Bingo will be held on Aug. 25.

KBR Bingo and More holds Bingo every Tuesday night at the Piper Airport Museum’s 3rd floor, Lock Haven. Early Bird game at 6:15 p.m., and regular Bingo at 6:30 p.m. Call Mike Toner at 570-786-1343 or Deb at 570-660-2647 for more info.

Both the Clinton and Lycoming SPCAs can use clay-type (non-clumping) cat litter and paper products. The Clinton shelter is at 33 Mill Hill Road, Dunnstown, phone 570-748-4756, and the Lycoming shelter is at 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, phone 570-322-4646.

A friendly reminder

The Downtown Lock Haven’s Little Red Libraries are for reading material only. There have been well-meaning people putting in dog biscuits, knitted items and other things in the Little Red Libraries. We will remove anything other than suitable reading materials from the libraries. No stickers with QR codes and other types of signs are allowed to be put onto the Libraries and will also be removed from the Little Red Libraries. They are there for children and adults to enjoy and select reading materials.

Volunteers wanted

The Clinton County Arts Council, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, seeks volunteers interesting in lending a helping hand. Email ccacgallery@gmail.com with the subject “Volunteer,” call 570-748-0949 and leave your contact information, or stop by The Station Gallery at 2 E. Bald Eagle St., any Thursday or Friday from 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. to learn more.

Special Olympics

Clinton County Special Olympics is actively requesting donations, which may be dropped off at Reese’s Print Shop, 7 E. Main St., Lock Haven, or mailed to Clinton County Special Olympics, P.O. Box 178, Lock Haven, Pa.17745. The group receives no local, state, or federal funding, which is why it needs your help, according to organizers. Any donations, large or small, will help, and 100 percent of donations collected will be used in Clinton County to support the athletes. Donations are tax-deductible.
