Goat Hill Reunion

Help Helping Hands Help Others

Helping Hands at United Lutheran Church is a non profit program that helps low income families and senior citizens with items such as toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, laundry care, cleaning items, etc. They are located at the United Lutheran Church in Lock Haven. They are asking for donations to keep our doors open. Any questions, please feel free to call Kelly Olmstead at 272-209-5912. Donations of any items (or financial support for us to buy items) will be a tremendous help for the program.

Cash Bingo Events

Mill Hall Vol. Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Friday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. Doors and the kitchen open at 5:30 p.m. The fire station and social room are located at 9 Peale Ave., Mill Hall. MHVFC Bingo will be held on Aug. 29 and Sept. 5.

Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs. Bingo will be held on Sept. 1.

KBR Bingo and More holds Bingo every Tuesday night at the Piper Airport Museum’s 3rd floor, Lock Haven. Early Bird game at 6:15 p.m., and regular Bingo at 6:30 p.m. Call Mike Toner at 570-786-1343 or Deb at 570-660-2647 for more info.

A Simple Request

Dogwood Circle Garden Club requests that those smokers who walk through the garden at the triangle and enjoy the flowers please take your cigarette butts with you instead of dropping them on the sidewalk or flicking them into the plantings. We have enough to do in maintaining the gardens and don’t need to pick up after you, too. Nothing is ever “thrown away,” just put somewhere else for others to deal with.

TOPS

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is looking for interested participants and guest speakers. Weigh-ins are from 4:30-5 p.m. each Monday afternoon, followed by the business meeting at 5 p.m. TOPS is held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall. Guest speakers are being sought to give a 15-20 minute presentation (or demonstration) on nutrition, forms of exercising or other healthy habits during the meetings. New Hope Fellowship Room

New Hope Fellowship has a Fellowship Corner Room at its church at 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. The Fellowship Corner Room is available for your parties, receptions, showers and other small gathering events. The room will seat 60-70 comfortably and offers tables, cushioned chairs, stoves, microwaves, a refrigerator and plenty of counter space and outside parking.
