Sentimental Journey seafood pickup
Sentinmental Journey Fly-In’s holiday seafood orders were due earlier this week. Pick up will be today, Aug. 29, between 3 and 5 p.m. at Piper Memorial Airport Hangar 1, 353 Proctor Street, Lock Haven. Payment can be made in the form of cash or checks made payable to Sentimental Journey. Proceeds from the seafood sale will benefit the Sentimental Journey Fly-In.
Angel Lights
You can get your Angel Light when you visit the Regatta. Look for the Downtown Rotary booth at the entrance of Canal Park, where the arts and crafts vendors start. Angel Light luminaries will light up Triangle Park the evening of Sept. 11. They are $5 each, and you can personalize them.
Class of 1958
Lock Haven High School Class of 1958 will be having their monthly get together on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. at Fox’s Restaurant in Lock Haven. All classmates and their guests are encouraged to attend. For info call 570-660-0134.
Town-wide
Yard Sales
Madisonburg will be holding yard sales throughout the community on Sept. 4, 5 and 6.
Milesburg will be holding their fall yard sales on Oct. 3-4 this year.
Donations needed
Roads to Peace is in need of: toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, 12 gallon garbage bags, hand and dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, razors, shaving cream, face wash, deodorant, gently used cutlery, pots/pans, bottled water, juice boxes, easy to prepare meals and snacks, dish sets, and unused bedding. Outdoor toys for children, such as balls, sidewalk chalk and bubbles are also needed for the summer months of play.

JS Elks
The Jersey Shore Elks #1057 restaurant is open to the public! Come try the great food prepared by Two Fired Up Guys. They offer more than your typical bar foods; burgers, sandwiches, dinners, salads, wings and much more. Check them out on Facebook for the full menu and daily specials such as Wing Night Wednesday. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Closed Tuesday and Sunday.
Seeking sobriety
Seeking Sobriety, a local AA meeting, meets Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven. Enter through the door at the end of a walkway on the right of the church. The open meeting features rotating topics with a focus on tools and a mindset for getting and staying sober.
