SATURDAY

— Light of the World free clothing bank, 9 a.m. to noon, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 145 W. Linn St., Bellefonte.

— Bargains & Blessings Community Closet will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, 551 Hunter Run Road, Howard. Gently used, good quality clothing, shoes and accessories for the entire family are available in sizes from infants to 3X and are priced at $5 per bag full. — Wayne Township/McElhattan Annual Yard Sales will take place beginning at 8 a.m.

— Snow Shoe Fire Company Gun Raffle, noon to 5 p.m.

— BEA Class of 1961 will gather for their annual reunion at the T/A Truck Stop near Milesburg. All classmates and their guests are invited to attend. Come for the 5 p.m. social hour. — Sugar Valley Rural Charter School’s Annual Back to School event in the school’s gym lobby, 236 E. Main St., Loganton, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event offers a one-stop opportunity for your student to get a “new to them” outfit, a free haircut for students K-12 and a free backpack while supplies last. Haircuts must be pre-registered with Dawn Jeffries by calling 570-367-1351 or by email at djeffries@svrcs.org. No walk-ins will be accepted.

— Last day of the 2025 Wings Over Piper R/C model plane fun fly at the William T. Piper Memorial Airport, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The event honors the role Lock Haven and the Piper Aircraft Corporation played in creating our country’s general aviation industry. It also gives model plane enthusiasts the opportunity to fly their planes at an historic venue. Spectators are always welcome and there will be a concession stand.

— The 64th annual Yost Reunion will be held at noon, at the Wayne Township Municipal Park, Linnwood Drive, (behind the fire station) in McElhattan. The meal will be served at noon. Please bring covered dishes to share. Business meeting following the meal and then afternoon of activities. Volleyball, Cornhole, children’s playground available, and then the evening meal will be served at 5 p.m. Hotdogs, hamburgers, buns and table service will be furnished for both meals. — The Wayne Township recreation committee will hold a yard/bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wayne Township Visitor Center, 2 McKinney Road, near the ballfield. In addition to this yard sale, there are town wide yard sales in McElhattan.

— The McElhattan Pathway to Christ Church, at 502 McElhattan Drive, will be holding a pulled pork barbecue platter with coleslaw, baked beans, macaroni salad and cake from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal cost will be a donation of your choosing.

— Recording artist Chris Pick will perform a free summer concert at Avenue 209 Coffee House in Lock Haven. The concert is free and begins at 7 p.m.

SUNDAY

— KBR Bingo benefit for (the late) Blaine Sementelli who died June 8 at the age of 21. Tickets are $25. Proceeds from the Bingo will help to pay for his final expenses at the Donald Walker Funeral Home in Flemington. Call Sue at 570-367-9996 to reserve your tickets.

— Members of the family of William and Eva Haagen are invited to the family reunion at the Porter Township Park in Lamar. Food will be served at 1 p.m. Guests are reminded to bring prizes for Dirty Bingo.

— Lamar Lighthouse Camp’s Summer Concert Series featuring The Millers at 6 p.m. The camp is located along Rt. 64 in Lamar. www.lamarlighthousecamp.org or call 570-337-0203.

MONDAY

— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.

— Howard Civic Club would like to get more members involved with their group. Please consider attending the 6:15 p.m. at the Howard fire hall. There is an optional meal preceding the meeting which is self-paid (currently $12). The meal is provided by Jane Bartley, owner of Country Elegance Catering Company. Dues are just $5 a year and are paid annually in January of each year. Call Linda at 814-280-3013 for more info.

TUESDAY

— The Covenant Cafe, an early stage Alzheimer’s activity group, will meet from 1-3 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. The group will be celebrating Penn State Creamery Ice Cream Day with an Ice Cream Social. The group will also view a video with familiar scenes of Lock Haven taken from the walkway of the dike/levee and enjoy a game of Noodle Ball as a physical activity. WEDNESDAY

— Blood Drive at Howard Fire Company’s Yearick Center, 12:30-6 p.m.

— You’re invited to join the fight against Alzheimers during the annual “Jail and Bail” Fundraiser at 22 Cree Drive in Lock Haven. Support the Alzheimer’s Foundation in a fun and impactful way by being a participant to help raise awareness and funds — whether you’re volunteering to be “locked up” or helping to pay bail, every bit makes a big difference. — Senior Cheer Club meets at noon at Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek. Anyone 55 and older invited. Bring a covered dish to share and your own drink.

— Food distribution from 4-6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 216 McAllister St., Bellefonte. There aren’t any income guidelines but a few questions are asked for those attending for the first time. For more info call Leilani “Loni” at 814-548-7835.

— Flea market vendors at Pleasant Gap Fire Company carnival grounds, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Flea market is held every Thursday during August. (put this in more weeks ahead in August.)

— Join the Jersey Shore American Legion Riders for the annual Jeff Engel Memorial Ride. The route starts at the Millheim Legion and includes stops at the Centre Hall Legion and Howard VFW, ending at the Jersey Shore Legion. Registration is $15 and includes a meal. Proceeds support the Military Share program. Sign-in begins at 9 a.m., with the ride starting at noon.

— Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Clinton County welcome the community to learn more about the Master Gardener program at an open house event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendees can learn how to become a certified Master Gardener and answer questions on upcoming training sessions. This is a gateway to hands-on education and garden-centered camaraderie. Whether you are passionate about flowers or vegetable gardening, or enjoy helping others, please join us at our Penn State Extension office at 47 Cooperation Lane, Mill Hall, Pa.
