TODAY

— American Red Cross Blood Drive, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Flemington First Church of Christ, Canal St., Mill Hall.

— Bingo at Mill Hall Fire Hall every Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

— Old School Market open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Friday, East End Road, Mill Hall.

— Join the park naturalist at Hyner Run State Park at 3:30 p.m. to learn about some different “Birds of Hyner,” There will be a craft. Meet at the amphitheater by the pool.

— Join the park naturalist at Little Pine State Park at 7:30 p.m. for “Evening Birding” on Lake Shore Trail. Topics will include the different birds that live at the park and how to identify them. Please bring your own binoculars and other birding gear. Meet at the beginning of the Lake Shore Trail at the kiosk at the dam.

— Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors at Millbrook Playhouse, 7:30 p.m. performances today and tomorrow.

— The John Wise Band will be the featured artists at the outdoor Lemont Village Green Friday night concert, 7:30-9 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket. Ice cream cones by the Scouts for a donation of your choice.

TOMORROW

— Breakfast benefit for Tucker Dorman at Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motor Cycle Club, 84 Harley Dr., (Woolrich) Lock Haven, from 7-11 a.m. Adult meals $10; ages 6-12 $6; five and younger eat free. In addition to breakfast, 50/50 and Chinese auction/basket raffle will be held to raise funds for Tucker and his family. Tucker is a young boy battling Hodgkins Lymphoma. — Arthur and Henrietta Merrill Reunion will be held at Woolrich Park, Pavilion #3. Lunch will begin at noon. Please bring a covered dish to share and an item wrapped to be in the family auction.

— The 2025 Sugar Valley Community Picnic is open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m, rain or shine, at the Booneville Campground, 349 Campground Road, Loganton, Pa. Morning worship begins at 10 a.m., noon potluck meal, The Ally J Band at 1:30 p.m., Kid’s games at 2:30 p.m., Bingo for all ages at 3:30 p.m. Supper meal starts at 5 p.m., bring covered dishes to share. Sugar Valley Community Band begins at 6:30 p.m.

— Eligible kids and teens can choose a pair of free, new sneakers or shoes this month at the Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank, inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. The Shoe Bank will be open today and on Aug. 23. Appointments are required. Kids and teens through age 17 (or older if in high school) are eligible if they have Compass and live in Clinton County or the Liberty-Curtin School area. — Nittany Greyhounds will hold a Meet & Greet event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pet Supplies Plus, 277 Northland Center, State College. The public can come to meet retired racing greyhounds and learn about greyhounds as pets.

— The fourth annual Clinton County Night Out will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Clinton County Piper Building Complex. The event is hosted by Clinton County Sherriff Kerry Stover and Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse. It is free for all to attend.

SUNDAY

— First Fire Float in the Susquehanna River to raise funds to benefit the Lock Haven fire departments. Floaters pay $10 and enter the river from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Peddie Park and float to the city beach. Vendors, food trucks and more! Contact Schlesinger Communications for info at 570-748-4038.

— Wayne Township Recreation Committee is sponsoring a back to school Pizza Party event at the Nature Park beginning at 4 p.m. Activities, refreshments (and possibly a movie) are being planned. The events are free and open to everyone!

— Join Autumn Hanley at Bald Eagle State Park for a Nature Journaling session from 1-2:30 p.m. Meet at Pavilion 3 at the beach. Club participants will be outdoors for the entirety of the session, rain or shine. Shelter in case of rain will be under pavilion 3 in the beach area. Participants will want to bring your nature journal and art supplies along! The Nature Journaling Club meets each month. Watch the Bald Eagle State Park’s Facebook page for upcoming events.

MONDAY

— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.

TUESDAY

— American Red Cross Blood Drive, 1:30-6 p.m., at the Porter Township Building, Spring Run Road, Mill Hall.

— KBR Bingo holds Cash Bingo every Tuesday night, 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Call Deb at 570-660-2647.

— Covenant Cafe, an early stage Alzheimer’s activity group, will meet from 1-3 p.m. The group will be holding a picnic at the Nature Park off the McElhattan Exit of Route 220. Volunteers and participants are asked to bring a dish to share. Chicken will be provided.

Guest presenter, Lisa Smith, will do a short walk to identify wild flowers and plants. If the weather is inclement, the group will hold an indoor picnic at the church located at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, where the guest speaker will do a PowerPoint presentation on wild flowers.

WEDNESDAY

— LHHS Class of 1952 will meet for lunch at noon at the Jersey Shore Diner patio. All classmates and their guests are invited. For info call Mary at 570-295-1091.

THURSDAY

— Flea market vendors at Pleasant Gap Fire Company carnival grounds, 7 a.m. start. Flea market is held every Thursday during August. Come early as vendors pack up after lunch if not busy! Flea market will be open during the Grange Fair!

— Milesburg Lions Club Bingo at the community center, 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

— Join the park naturalist at Bald Eagle State Park at 10 a.m. for a short walk to learn about nature’s villains. We are going to discuss poison ivy, deer ticks and more of nature’s villains! Please dress for the weather. We will be meeting at Pavilion 6 in the Beach Area at 10 a.m. for the one hour program.
