Crickfest celebrates 22 Years on Saturday, Aug. 30

MILLHEIM — The Penns Valley Conservation Association (PVCA) is excited to announce the 22nd annual Crickfest, returning to Coburn Park on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This free, family-friendly event celebrates watershed health, community spirit and environmental education. Attendees can enjoy live music, delicious local food, interactive children’s activities, educational displays and a vibrant showcase of regional organizations and vendors. All proceeds benefit PVCA’s environmental education programs in the Penns Valley Area School District.

The day kicks off with the Tunnel Trot 5K and 10K Fun Run, starting at 9:30 a.m. –a scenic way to enjoy the valley while supporting a great cause.

Tunnel Trot 5K and 10K Fun Run/Walk Returns Saturday, Aug. 30

Looking for a fun and active way to kick off your Labor Day weekend? The Penns Valley Conservation Association (PVCA) invites you to join the annual Tunnel Trot 5K and 10K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, Aug. 30, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Coburn Park.

This rain-or-shine, family-friendly event is open to all ages and ability levels. Whether you’re running or walking, the Tunnel Trot offers a scenic route along Penns Creek to the historic Coburn Tunnel, with the 10K course extending along the beautiful rail trail toward Ingleby before looping back.

Registration is $25 per participant and available at pennsvalley.net.

Register by Aug. 1 to receive a commemorative Tunnel Trot t-shirt at the event.

Check-in begins at 9 a.m., with bibs and shirts available onsite.

The Tunnel Trot kicks off the 22nd Annual Crickfest, a full day of celebration at Coburn Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring live music, local food vendors, family activities, workshops, auctions, duck races and much more.

All proceeds from the Tunnel Trot and Crickfest support PVCA’s environmental education programming in Penns Valley schools and the surrounding community.
