Spaghetti

Sugar Valley Fire Company is having an all you can eat Spaghetti Supper on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 4-7 p.m. The meal includes spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread, salad bar, drinks and desserts. The prices are $12 for adults, $8 for children ages 6-12 and the little tykes eat for free.

Class of 1958

Lock Haven High School Class of 1958 will be having their monthly get together on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. at Fox’s Restaurant in Lock Haven. All classmates and their guests are encouraged to attend. For info call 570-660-0134.

Goat Hill

Class of 1952

LHHS Class of 1952 will meet at noon on Sept. 17 for a luncheon at Fox Family Restaurant in Lock Haven (on the flat area.) All classmates and their guests are invited! Call Mary at 570-295-1091 for more info.

Blood Drives

The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!

Blood drives will be held on the following dates:

On Sept. 8, from 1-6 p.m., at Tri County North Central Church, Mill Hall.

On Sept. 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Zion Community Church, Zion Road, Bellefonte.

Charity Benefit

A Charity benefit for severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers is planned Thursday, Oct. 2, from 6-10 p.m., at the Sons of Italy Courtyard, 1 N. Henderson St., Lock Haven (guests may enter from the alley). Meet Sgt. Davyd, an English-speaking Ukrainian soldier, his wife and volunteers from Revived Soldiers Ukraine, a national non-profit devoted to bringing severely wounded soldiers such as amputees to the U.S. for rehabilitation and prosthetic devices. The event will feature Private Stock Trio in concert, a cash bar, chicken BBQ dinner by Stolzfus Meats (dine-in or take-out), a roving magician, a personalized caricatures artist and John Finn, of WSQV radio, as the emcee. Tickets are $15 at door, or from Rick Schulze at fschulze@comcast.net or Kelly McGhee, Sons of Italy bartender. This is a 21 and older event. Bring your photo ID.

KBR Bingo Benefits others

KBR Bingo will be hosting benefit Bingos to help others. Please come and show your support!

Bingos are held at the Piper Museum building, third floor Bingo hall. Elevator service is available. In addition to the Bingo there are also Chinese auctions, 50/50 drawings and good food available from the kitchen. Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m.

On Sept. 14, the Bingo will benefit the Central Mountain Majorettes.Tickets are $25. The Bingo will help to raise funds for nine CM Majorettes who will be going to the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Fla., in December. Doors open at 11 a.m., and Bingo starts at 1 p.m.

On Sept. 20, the Bingo will benefit the CM Marching Band, who are raising funds to a trip to Normandy, France, for the D-Day Parade in June, 2027. Doors and the kitchen open at 11 a.m. with Bingo starting at 1 p.m.
