Community choir

SVRCS is looking to start a Community Choir! The initial meeting will be Monday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m.,in the SVRCS Library, 236 Main St., Loganton. They will discuss frequency of meeting, time as well as begin practicing. Gina Miller will be leading this group. Open to all including high school students who would like to explore additional musical experiences! Community performances anticipated. Please come out and raise our voices together! Acorn School Yardsale

A yard sale will take place on Sept. 19 and 20, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Saint Agnes Church Pavilion, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Holy Spirit Parish Acorn School. Items include clothes for girls, boys, women, men, hunting, fishing, Hess trucks, baby items, nursing items, home items, school furniture, teaching materials and more.

Free sneakers

Constitution Day Celebration

The Constitution Day Centre’s Constitution Day celebration will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Delta High School, 653 Westerly Parkway, State College. Free registration is at: wpsu.org/constitutionday, although walk-ins are welcome. 2025 partners are WPSU Media and Delta Middle School & Delta High School, State College Area School District. The Making Our Voices Heard Roundtables will focus on the theme “We the People” and three related questions by groups of residents of varying perspectives and moderators. Lock Haven High School Class of 1958 will be having their monthly get together on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. at Fox’s Restaurant in Lock Haven. All classmates and their guests are encouraged to attend. For info call 570-660-0134.

Charity Benefit

A Charity benefit for severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers is planned Thursday, Oct. 2, from 6-10 p.m., at the Sons of Italy Courtyard, 1 N. Henderson St., Lock Haven (guests may enter from the alley). Meet Sgt. Davyd, an English-speaking Ukrainian soldier, his wife and volunteers from Revived Soldiers Ukraine, a national non-profit devoted to bringing severely wounded soldiers such as amputees to the U.S. for rehabilitation and prosthetic devices. The event will feature Private Stock Trio in concert, a cash bar, chicken BBQ dinner by Stolzfus Meats (dine-in or take-out), a roving magician, a personalized caricatures artist and John Finn, of WSQV radio, as the emcee. Tickets are $15 at door, or from Rick Schulze at fschulze@comcast.net or Kelly McGhee, Sons of Italy bartender. This is a 21 and older event. Bring your photo ID.

Truckers4Hope Camping registration open
