Class of 1952
LHHS Class of 1952 will meet at noon on Oct. 15 for a luncheon at Restless Oaks Restaurant in Lock Haven. All classmates and their guests are invited! Please note the location has changed and the meeting will no longer be at Haywoods.
No Kings Rally
A No Kings Rally will be held in Triangle Park on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Bellefonte Cash Bingo
Cash Bingo will be held at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, to benefit the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus. Doors will be open to the public for food, plenty of homemade baked goods and dinner items, and small games of chance at 6 p.m., with Bingo starting at 7 p.m. The cost to play is $20 for 20 games, and the payouts will be $850 each month. Bingos will be held on the second Monday of each month from September through June.
Bingo dates are Oct. 13; Nov. 10; Dec. 15 (note the change); Jan. 12, 2026; Feb. 9; March 9, April 13, May 11 and June 8.
The school is a smoke-free facility and walk-ins are welcome to come to play Bingo.
Help Helping Hands Help Others
Helping Hands at United Lutheran Church is a non profit program that helps low income families and senior citizens with items such as toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, laundry care, cleaning items, ect. They are located at the United Lutheran Church in Lock Haven. They are asking for donations to keep our doors open. Any questions, please feel free to call Kelly Olmstead at 272-209-5912. Donations of any items (or financial support for us to buy items) will be a tremendous help for the program.
Cleaning up!
Since 2000, Clinton County CleanScapes, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, has organized more than 125 cleanup events, rallying together 4,569 volunteers and cleaning up over 2,432,460 pounds of debris and 13,131 tires from our waterways and landscapes. You can help impact the local community by joining the effort. Become a member, gift a membership to a loved one, volunteer at a cleanup, or donate to the cause. Easy Does It
Dealing with an addict in your life? Come and talk with others who are going through the same things you are. The Easy Does It Al-Anon group meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the small Sunday school room of Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, Mill Hall. (A.A. meets in the big room at the same time.) Drop-ins are welcome.
Pickle-Ball
Pickle-Ball is offered at the Lock Haven Area YMCA every Tuesday and Thursday, from 1 to 3 p.m. The program is free for members and $5 for non-members. This is an increasingly popular sport. Come out and see what it is all about. No equipment is needed. For additional information, call the YMCA at 570-748-6727.
Waiting Together
Waiting Together is a support group for adults with incarcerated loved ones. The group meets at Gamble Farm Inn, Jersey Shore, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
