Covenant Cafe to meet Sept. 16

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an early stage Alzheimer’s activity group, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 1-3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

The day will be filled with a variety of activities including a craft activity led by volunteers Sharon Davy, Roberta Muthler and Anne Miller followed by guest presenter Wayne Young who will entertain with his accordion.

The session will end with exercises called “Just Dance” from YouTube led by volunteer Kitty Oechler. Refreshments will be served.

The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
