PA CareerLink Awareness Day to spotlight services, training and employer opportunities
LOCK HAVEN — Job seekers, businesses, young adults and other community members and local organizations are invited to attend the upcoming PA CareerLink Awareness Day on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at PA CareerLink Clinton County. The event will highlight the wide range of services available through the PA CareerLink network and provide opportunities to connect with employers and training providers.
This no-cost, open-house style event is part of a statewide initiative led by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry to raise awareness of the high-quality resources available to both individuals and businesses. Advance Central PA, the region’s Workforce Development Board, is proud to host Awareness Day events across PA CareerLink locations within its nine-county region.
Job seekers will have the chance to explore a variety of services, including learning more about career and training programs, receiving resume reviews, practicing interviewing and meeting with six employers who will be on site:
— ESS
— Keystone Central School District
— Niagara Bottling
— PennDOT
— Susquehanna Transit
— Truck-Lite
In addition, Commonwealth University — Lock Haven will be on hand to showcase Workforce Development Adult Learning and Training opportunities, offering pathways to industry-recognized certifications to help you advance your career.
Businesses attending will have the opportunity to connect with the PA CareerLink Business Solutions Team, explore employer support programs and learn about WEDnetPA Training Funds, which help offset training expenses and support workforce development.
“PA CareerLink Awareness Day showcases the important services offered at our sites across the Central Pennsylvania region,” states Erica Mulberger, Executive Director of Advance Central PA. “From connecting job seekers to training and employment, to helping businesses meet their workforce needs, we are excited to share how PA CareerLink is a valuable resource for the community.”
The event is open to the public, and no registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to stop by anytime between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. to take part in the day’s activities, network with employers, and discover the full scope of PA CareerLink services.
