Sunflower Maze closes early

PHOTO PROVIDED The Sunflower Maze, created each year by the Dotterer Family, closed early following the flowers reaching their peak earlier this week.

MILL HALL — The Sunflower Maze, which attracts visitors from across the county and beyond, closed earlier this week due to the flowers having reached their peak earlier than expected.

The maze, grown and organized by the Dotterer family each year, saw its flowers blossom earlier and take a bow earlier than originally expected. The maze was planned to remain open until Saturday, Sept. 6, but closed on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

“The maze is officially closed. Thank you to all who came out and supported us this year. You are what makes this maze a-MAZE-ing,” The Farmer’s Dotterer shared on social media.

The Dotterer family looks forward to showcasing their next maze in 2026.

Starting at $3.69/week.
