Annual craft show luncheon planned for Oct. 29

FLEMINGTON — On Wednesday, Oct. 29, the Lock Haven Christian Women’s Connection will enjoy the “Annual Craft Show” Luncheon. The program will be held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Allison Township. There is always good food, lots of fun, door prizes, music from gifted vocalists and inspiring speakers that help inform and encourage ladies to make a most memorable day.

The theme of October’s lunch is “Craft Show.” The featured guests for the luncheon will be the dozen or so especially selected craft vendors who will delight those attending with their creative and useful wares. The usual beginning time for the program is 11:50 a.m., however, since there is shopping involved, the doors will open for shopping at 10:30 a.m. The actual program will begin at 11:50.

The special music guest for the day is Eileen Banks who uses humor and science, along with her puppet “Road Kill” to delight audiences with her program.

Eileen Banks, of Rome, N.Y., is also October’s guest speaker. She speaks on “The Wonder of Life.”

The cost for the program of $17 per person includes lunch, entertainment, hearing the inspirational speaker and free parking.

All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.

This is a perfectly good time to meet new friends and catch up with long-time friends! The luncheon is a warm and welcoming way to renew and refresh. The group is requesting all who plan to attend make reservations. Reservations must be made by calling Bobbie Jo at 570-748-8708, by calling or texting Jerri at 570-295-5725 or by emailing Ann at lockhavencwc@aol.com.
