Happy Travelers’ Trips

There are still seats available on the trip to the Biltmore Estate and Asheville, N.C., on Dec. 7-12, 2025. The decorations at the Biltmore are magnificent at Christmastime. Trips planned for 2026 include San Antonio, Texas, for March 20-30; Mackinac Island, Mich., Sept. 14-19; and a Holiday Show Trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., from Nov. 30-Dec. 6. A $75 deposit will reserve your seat with final payment due approximately two months prior to departure. Call Rita at 570-748-4226 for info or visit www.grouptrips.com/pennsylvaniahappytravelers.

A Simple Request

Dogwood Circle Garden Club requests that those smokers who walk through the garden at the triangle and enjoy the flowers please take your cigarette butts with you instead of dropping them on the sidewalk or flicking them into the plantings. We have enough to do in maintaining the gardens and don’t need to pick up after you, too. Nothing is ever “thrown away,” just put somewhere else for others to deal with.

Food for thought

Would you like to become a Shoe Bank volunteer? The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank is usually open one Saturday a month, when we have the fun of giving free new shoes to eligible kids and teens. We are looking for more volunteers, including people we can call when we are shorthanded. If you’d like to volunteer or just ask questions about it, please text or call Wendy at 570-295-3443.

Starting at $3.69/week.
