LHHS and ICHS Class of 1957 will meet on the second Saturday of each month at Restless Oaks at 9 a.m. Classmates and guests are welcome.
Benefit Bingos
KBR Bingo and More will be hosting benefit Bingos to help individuals and clubs or organizations in our community. Come play Bingo and help support those in need.
On Oct. 11, the Bingo will benefit the Sugar Valley Charter School’s volleyball program.
On Oct. 12, the Bingo benefits the Mill Hall Pool.
On Oct. 18, the Bingo will help APP Pug Rescue.
On Oct. 19, Hope’s Dream and Rescue Sanctuary will be helped.
Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or by checking the KBR Bingo Facebook page. In addition to the Bingo there is usually a basket raffle, rip tickets and good food!
KBR Bingo is located on the third floor of the Piper Museum Building in Lock Haven. Elevator service is provided!

Castanea Halloween Parade
The Castanea Township Recreation Committee is seeking marching bands, floats, decorated vehicles, troupes, non-profits, dance schools, costumed walkers and police/fire/safety/EMS vehicles for the Annual Halloween Parade scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. The parade will be running the length of Brown Street and ending at the Castanea Fire Company on McElhattan Avenue. A children’s magic show is planned at the Fire Company following the parade. Prizes are awarded but pre-registration is necessary. Contact Rick Schulze, Chairperson of the Recreation Committee, at fschulze@comcast.net. Rain date for the parade is Monday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m.
New Hope Fellowship Room
New Hope Fellowship has a Fellowship Corner Room at its church at 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. The Fellowship Corner Room is available for your parties, receptions, showers and other small gathering events. The room will seat 60-70 comfortably and offers tables, cushioned chairs, stoves, microwaves, a refrigerator and plenty of counter space and outside parking. Monetary donations are appreciated but are not required for you to use the Fellowship Corner Room. Contact New Hope Fellowship at 570-755-1450 for info.
Training programs
Roads to Peace offers customizable, age appropriate prevention education programs for all age groups. Programs include but are not limited to: domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, people with disabilities abuse, medical screening, traumatic brain injury, workplace violence, sexual harassment, sexual coercion, dating violence, healthy relationships, bullying, stranger danger, three kinds of touches and human trafficking.
