Nittany
Grayhounds
Nittany Greyhounds will hold a Meet & Greet event on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Pet Supplies Plus, 277 Northland Center, State College. The public can come to meet retired racing greyhounds and learn about greyhounds as pets. Lovingly known as 45-mile-an-hour couch potatoes, retired racers adapt well to living in homes. Since 995, Nittany Greyhounds has found forever homes in Centre County and beyond for more than 2,000 greyhounds. For more information, visit NittanyGreys.org
A Simple
Request
Dogwood Circle Garden Club requests that those smokers who walk through the garden at the triangle and enjoy the flowers please take your cigarette butts with you instead of dropping them on the sidewalk or flicking them into the plantings. We have enough to do in maintaining the gardens and don’t need to pick up after you, too. Nothing is ever “thrown away,” just put somewhere else for others to deal with.
