Dementia and Alzheimer

program

The public is invited to attend the free program on Dementia and Alzheimer, hosted by The Colonel Hugh White/Colonel John Chatham Chapter of the DAR with guest speaker Fran Decker. The program will be held Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., at Annie Halenbake Ross Library 232 W. Main St., 3rd floor, Rebecca Gross Room. Fall fair

St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be holding its Fall Fair on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. The fair will feature a very large yard sale, bake sale, fudge sale and a raffle table. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall. On the menu are walking tacos, yummy sandwiches, homemade soups, delicious homemade pies, cakes and desserts. The soups being offered are vegetable beef, ham and bean and chicken corn soup. Quarts of soup may be purchased at $7/quart. Cash Bingo Events

Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs. Bingo will be held on Oct. 20 and 27.

KBR Bingo and More holds Bingo every Tuesday night at the Piper Airport Museum’s 3rd floor, Lock Haven. Early Bird game at 6:15 p.m., and regular Bingo at 6:30 p.m.

KBR Bingo also has Wednesday night Straight Bingo starting at 6:30 p.m. Call Mike Toner at 570-786-1343 or Deb at 570-660-2647 for more info.

Join Flemington Hi-Neighbor

The Flemington Hi-Neighbor Committee is looking for new members. They are an all volunteer non-profit group with a goal to provide events for the community. They sponsor a carnival in the spring, flowers for the park, fundraisers, Christmas events and an Easter egg hunt and also help a local church with their Senior Thanksgiving Dinner. They always welcome new suggestions. The Hi-Neighbors meet the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Flemington Borough Office during fall to spring and at the Flemington Park during spring and summer months, weather permitting.
