American Legion Auxiliary Unit 623 invites Veterans to be honored at a buffet-style breakfast for them and a guest at the Beech Creek American Legion, 68 Wynn Avenue, Beech Creek, Sunday, Nov. 9, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Please RSVP to Sharon Miller at (717) 870-7574 by Nov. 1.
Give Back, Feed the Hungry
The Old Corner will be Giving Back to the Haven by Feeding the Hungry on Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This outreach will help anyone in need! Food will be available for the less fortunate, Veterans and anyone who wants to come out to the event!
Chicken BBQ will be served.

Donations needed
Roads to Peace is in need of: toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, 12 gallon garbage bags, hand and dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, razors, shaving cream, face wash, deodorant, gently used cutlery, pots/pans, bottled water, juice boxes, easy to prepare meals and snacks, dish sets, and unused bedding. Outdoor toys for children, such as balls, sidewalk chalk and bubbles are also needed for the summer months of play.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!
Help Helping Hands Help Others
Helping Hands at United Lutheran Church is a non profit program that helps low income families and senior citizens with items such as toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, laundry care, cleaning items, ect. They are located at the United Lutheran Church in Lock Haven. They are asking for donations to keep our doors open. Any questions, please feel free to call Kelly Olmstead at 272-209-5912. Donations of any items (or financial support for us to buy items) will be a tremendous help for the program.
