Be a Person of Action: Find your fun at Downtown Lock Haven Rotary’s open house Oct. 28

PHOTO PROVIDED Downtown Lock Haven Rotary invites you to a People of Action Open House from 5:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Come and meet club members (shown) and the directors of three local nonprofit groups. You’ll discover ways to give back that fit your lifestyle.
LOCK HAVEN — Would you like to give back a little, or pay something forward? Don’t quite know how to fit it into your busy schedule?
Come enjoy a little wine and finger food on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and check out four local nonprofits who may have the answer. Downtown Lock Haven Rotary will host the informal People of Action Open House with refreshments from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven.
Stop in any time to say hello and spend a few minutes finding out about:
— Sleep in Heavenly Peace which builds and installs beds for kids who don’t have one.
— The New Love Center’s food programs which serve Clinton County and other counties.
— Boxes of Hope which sends out boxes of small gifts to encourage breast cancer warriors.
Downtown Rotary is also looking for new members. Known for Flags of Honor for Memorial Day in Triangle Park, the club also gets books to kids and adults through its Little Libraries, brings smiles to veterans with holiday gift bags and to first-responders with trays of Valentine’s Day goodies and supports the community in many other fun ways.
Each member gives a little time and effort, and together they make a big impact. You can too!
If you would like to attend or get more information about the open house, please contact club president Lisa Schropp at 814-244-2929.
