The family- and dog-friendly event on West Howard Street featured 21 organizations and businesses handing out treats to Bellefonte’s best-dressed goblins, ghouls, princesses and superheroes.

“It was completely amazing to see all the wonderful children with their families,” said Brenda Reichert, of Union Cemetery.

In addition to Halloween candy, the evening offered live music, face painting for children courtesy of Faces by Leah and make-your-own s’mores.

“To see the children and the adults dressed up and everybody getting along — it was just completely amazing,” Reichert said. “To hear people say they can’t wait for it next year means you really did something good for your community, and they appreciated it.”

The Union Cemetery Board, along with Happy Valley Monuments and Wetzler Funeral Service and Victorian Crematory, extended their gratitude to every organization and business that participated in the event.

“We’re so grateful for the amazing community support that helps keep Union Cemetery thriving. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!” said the Union Cemetery Board.
