Friday, Oct. 10

— Blood Drive at Flemington First Church of Christ, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

— SVRCS’s Senior Socials will return for the 2025-2026 school year. All seniors are welcome to join the second Friday of each month from October through April — exception for February. The program runs from 12:30- 2 p.m. in the gym lobby at 236 E. Main St., Loganton, where the life skills students will greet you and be your hosts! Activities, games, snacks and entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment! Come out and enjoy this special time to fellowship and interact with students. No reservation required. — Old School Market open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Friday, East End Road, Mill Hall.

— Sugar Valley Lions Club will have a Cash Bingo at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Lions/Sportsman’s Club, 55 Sportsmans Road, Loganton. Tickets are $25 for 20 games and are available at the door. Ticket info is available by calling Elisabeth at 570-725-2148 or Bob at 570-725-3665. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The Clubhouse is a smoke free facility.

Saturday, Oct. 11

— Milesburg’s fall Riff Raff Collection.

— LHHS and ICHS Classes of 1957 meet on the second Saturday for each month at Restless Oaks at 9 a.m. Classmates and guests are welcome.

— Porter Township’s Fall Festival, noon to 5 p.m., at the Porter Township Park, 35 Washington Ave., Mill Hall. (Along Rt. 64 in Lamar). Free admission, free popcorn, free cotton candy along with family friendly fun, games, music and barrel train rides. Craft vendors selling throughout the day. Food sold by the Nittany Valley Fire Company. Call Chris to be a vendor or for info at 814-571-5798.

— Pathway to Christ Church’s curbside only chicken bbq, 11 a.m. until gone, $15 donation gets you a ½ chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans and apple crisp for dessert. Proceeds will benefit the church’s outreach programs.

— The Black Forest Inn’s Autumn Car Show. In conjunction with the Central Pennsylvania Street Machines Car Club, the show runs from 1-4 p.m. All vehicles are welcome. Entry is free and there will be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Enjoy delicious food, drink and music. If it has wheels, shine ’em up and show ’em off!

— KBR Bingo and More will have a benefit Bingo for Sugar Valley’s School Volleyball program. Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m. KBR Bingo is located in the Piper Museum Building, 3rd floor. Elevator service is available. Call Deb at 570-660-2647 for info.

— The Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association and the Centre County Library are collaborating to offer a public reading of George Orwell’s Animal Farm from start (at noon) to finish (around 3:30 p.m.) The reading is part of the Library’s observation of Banned Books Week. Readers will read Orwell’s famous fable outside the Bellefonte Library at 200 N. Allegheny St. There will be chairs for the audience and light refreshments for readers and listeners.

Sunday, Oct. 12

— Howard VFW Breakfast Buffet, All you can eat from 10 a.m. to noon. $12 for adults.

— Swissdale United Methodist Church will celebrate its 130th Anniversary with a service at 11 a.m., followed by lunch. The church welcomes all members, old friends and new friends to join them. Special music will be provided by Dusty Heggenstaller.

— Liberty Classic Community Band Festival’s free concert, 1:30 p.m., in Williamsport Area High School’s auditorium.

— Centre Ballroom Dancing at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte, 2-5 p.m. Bring a snack to share. $10 admission.
