County Court to hold special session for the late Attorney Alvin L. Snowiss

LOCK HAVEN — Clinton County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Craig P. Miller has announced that a Special Session of Court will be held on Monday, Oct. 13, at 3 p.m., in remembrance of long time Clinton County attorney Alvin L. Snowiss, who passed away on May 23, 2025.
Attorney Snowiss graduated from the law school at the University of Pennsylvania in 1955 and was a highly respected attorney in Clinton County for the next 69 years.
Along with his exemplary career, Alvin gave back to his community by serving on numerous boards such as the Lock Haven Hospital, Annie Halenbake Ross Library, Mellon Bank and its successors, The Beth Yehuda Synagogue and the Clinton County Community Foundation, among many others.
Judge Miller invites any interested persons to join him and Judge Michael F. Salisbury along with retired Clinton County President Judges Richard N. Saxon, Jr. and J. Michael Williamson in the large courtroom of the Clinton County Courthouse to celebrate the life of a truly inspiring man.
